Runs to Greek lunchtime habits; the kitchen opens at 2pm. Excellent food, excellent location. (I never thought I'd say that about Greek food), funniest waitress, really enthusiastic enterprise. Coffee was banned by the Ethiopian Orthodox Church sometime before the 18th century. Travelers and historians from the Safavid and Qajar periods often mentioned Iranian coffee customs, including how it was prepared and served. By the fifteenth century, coffee cultivation had taken root in Yemen's highland regions such as Haraz and Bani Matar, where it was harvested, roasted and brewed by Sufi circles seeking to sustain energy during nightly prayers. Yemen became the first major production zone and global exporter of coffee, dominating the trade for two centuries. The rise of the coffeehouse

Coffee plants are cultivated in over 70 countries, primarily in the equatorial regions of the Americas, Southeast Asia, the Indian subcontinent, and Africa. Though coffee has become a global commodity, it has a history tied to food traditions around the Red Sea. Coffee can be prepared and presented in a variety of ways, e.g., espresso, French press, caffè latte, or already-brewed canned coffee.
